of a democracy<\/div>\n
at what cost, at what cost?<\/div>\n

Victory be, to the people of India<\/div>\n
who have endured sweat-slicked days when electricity failed<\/div>\n
rotting in the factories and shops, toiling away<\/div>\n
counting meagre paises, watching as they laid waste<\/div>\n
When could we also languish, like they do in their comfort?<\/div>\n
Raised on the gospel of merit,<\/div>\n
Study, study hard! And the country will hold you.<\/div>\n

Offering refunds, as if they are some solace<\/div>\n

When you injured our farmers in broad daylight as they rioted?<\/div>\n
Delhi had seen gut-wrenching resilience before, They’re older than any violence you shroud<\/div>\n
Shamelessly, in the name of National Strength<\/div>\n

Hundred, thousands of students who dreamed<\/div>\n
knocked on streets, in blood-soaked shirts<\/div>\n
Lathis and tear bombs flung against their dewy faces<\/div>\n
is this what you call a democracy?<\/div>\n
Where people cannot even assemble peacefully?<\/div>\n

The iron fist of the State bearing a kind of force<\/div>\n
it never dared to close on its own countless violations<\/div>\n
So my people, they bleed<\/div>\n
Their skins break from exposure, scorn and deceit<\/div>\n

tomorrow in front of the Rashtrapati Bhavan,<\/div>\n

Anything the saffron pawns and their corporate goons could ever produce!<\/div>\n
No amount of towering barricades can hold<\/div>\n
Out these battered students’ heart.<\/div>\n

who swarm the streets with a fire<\/div>\n
